We would like to announce that our GP Patient Survey 2023 has been completed.
We are always interested in how effective our service is and how our patients feel about the service we provide and way we can improve.
We are constantly looking at ways to improve out service, the results show your overall experience of our practice is above the national average and we are delighted with this. The results show once you have obtained your appointment you are very happy with the service provided but can find it difficult to obtain an appointment.
We are looking at ways we can improve our access to patients, we have a cloud-based telephone system that patients can request a call back and keep their place in the queue.
Our receptionist have been trained to actively sign post patients to the most appropriate clinician. Please remember a GP is not always the best person to see for your condition.
We have a multi disciplinary team of staff including:
Physiotherapist a team of 2 that can help deal with any musculoskeletal problem and often can offer an appointment the same day.
A Mental Health Therapist for patients needing support with there mental health.
Pharmacists a team of 5 who can help with medication queries and complete annual medication reviews
A Social Prescriber who can help. This is a bio from our Social Prescriber Toni
‘Hi, I’d like to introduce myself, I’m Toni and I am the Social Prescriber, but what does that mean? My role is to work alongside the team at both surgeries to help people recognise what matters to them.
Many things affect your health and wellbeing. GPs tell us that a lot of people visit them feeling isolated or lonely. Some may have concerns with work, money, or their current housing situation. Sometimes it’s the stress of managing different long-term conditions. That is where social prescribing comes in. It all starts with a conversation. I’m here to listen to you and put you in touch with the people and activities that might help to make you feel better. I might introduce you to a community group, a new activity or a local club. Or help you find legal advice or debt counselling. They might just help you find inside information and guidance which is specific to your local area.
Social prescribing can help you to have more control over your own health and find ways to improve how you feel in a way that suits you.’
Advanced Acute Practitioners a team of 2. That can help with any acute illness that patients present with and are an asset to our team.
