Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV)

Respiratory Syncytial Virus( RSV) is one of the common viruses that causes coughs and colds in winter and can lead to pneumonia and other life-threatening conditions.

There is a new vaccine which protects against RSV, for people aged 75 to 79 years and pregnant women. For older adults, this is a single dose vaccine administered just once in the years between 75 and 79.

Further information is available at: Your guide to the RSV Vaccine for Older Adults.

We will be running a clinic for this vaccine commencing September 2024.

Information has been sent to patients who are eligible for this and the link for booking will shortly follow.
